Inspiration from this record came from spending a long time in an abandoned arcade. It had to be 100 degrees. No one was around. Various machines blinked off and on, and I was certain that I could make out the ghost echoes of many lost decades of fun. You know, Marconi believed that sound never truly dissipated.
I think that wonderful video glow/pixel combination from old cabinet video games is a really great thing to explore.
Ben Seretan and Angus McCullough have put together a beautiful, interactive album. Pop-accessible sounds beep and surge from speakers, images and animations accompany the songs, and intimate liner notes from creation to final product invite you to embrace the music wherever if finds  you.
